I study speciation of nudibranchs in the Coral Triangle as a member of the Barber Lab at the UCLA. I am originally from upstate New York, where I attended Cornell University for my Bachelor's degree. Since then I have lived and worked in Georgia, Washington, California, and Indonesia. Visit my Projects page for more information on my previous and ongoing studies.

2010 - present: Ph.D. candidate, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, UCLA

2004 - 2008: B.S. Natural Resources and Biology, Cornell University

About this site:

On the Teaching page you will find information about courses I have taught or am teaching. On the News page you can find updates on research activities, progress, and findings. Follow the field season on my Blog, where I will post accounts of nudibranch collection trips while traveling across Indonesia, as well as updates from the Diversity Project in Denpasar, Bali.

On the Videos page you will find music videos by The Barber Lab Quartet, our lab’s unique take on teaching evolution through music. Videos from the field will be uploaded as the field season progresses. For photos from the field, visit my new tumblr blog NudiBooty!

Enjoy, and please contact me with questions and comments!
